Looks like the one I grabbed from the JY yesterday. Looks like the tach on yours is stuck too.

why do they always end up being like that? plus i wonder if it will work on a 4-cylinder heard the SE model are all equipped with V6s? but my question is will they work on z24i engines?

From playing around with mine I am thinking bad tach motor bearings cause it to freeze up because these needles don't melt like the old ones. V6 tachs are different that 4cyl tachs, they are lazy when installed in a 4cyl so the readings are unreliable. You can swap the tach motor from a 4 cyl cluster and make it work. I was able to do this in my 95 when I added a clock.

so wheres the tachometer motor located in the cluster? and if I swap a 4 Cylinder tachometer motor and implant it into the SE cluster then will it read more accurately?Plus about the Voltage meter how is that wired up? haven't gotten a chance to go and plug and play with it yet. oh and yeah since this is my first odometer change how do I roll it back to what the Base model gauges read?
