1988 D21 Z24 Vacuum Diagram

Howdy,

I am trying to find a good vacuum diagram for my 1988 Nissan D21 v2.4 engine. Specifically I'm trying to see where the 3 nipples on the bottom and the 4 on the side of the Air Filter housing. I've seen one for 1987 but it doesn't seem to match and I don't know if the 87 is carburated or not but the 88 is a throttle body fuel injection.

87 is TBI, as is the 86 D-21.

I have couple of vacuum diagrams on my computer. One is hand drawn based on my 86 model. Better than nothing I guess. PM me your email address and I'll send them over.

Sorry, it took so long to reply to this, I didn't get notified via email about this and been dealing with other things. spitfirebill, I don't see a way to "PM" you. When I look at your profile there is nothing under "Contact spitfirebill" and from what I've read I guess I haven't been a user long enough or posted enough to be able to "Private Message".

I'm down to one part that I can't seem to figure out where it goes or what it really is. I've drawn an arrow pointing to it in the image I've linked to. Again I've found pictures that show this connecting to something on the intake manifold but not the same year and there is nothing on my truck where I've seen this in other pictures. I think this may be the "A.B. Valve" or the "EGRC solenoid valve" but not sure.

Pretty sure that is the ABV. The vacuum line on mine goes to the 4th node on the multi-branch fitting on the air cleaner (counting from the left). Or second from the right is you are so inclined.

Does yours have 4 or 5 fittings? Mine has 4 and from a previous post the two on the inside were already connected. Using the diagram of an '87 it's supposed to go to the far right one. does yours come anywhere close to matching this diagram?

Mine has five. I've been wondering for some time if it makes any difference which node the lines attach to.
