1987 sentra sensor problem

Hey whats up every body newb here

I have an 87 sentra and the last couple days while i have been driving the car will hiccup and then it loses power and will come to a stop. the two times it happened i got it started again and drove it home but im wondering what the problem might be. the sensor light is on on the dash maybe its an oxygen sensor?

I took it to a shop yesterday and they told me they could not perform a diagnostic test because the cars carbourated and not fuel injected.

What kind of sensor light is on? The carb may need to service.
