1987 NISSAN SENTRA Wont Start or run!

K so I have a 1987 Nissan Sentra 1.6 carb, auto. The car has spark and attempts to fire every 4 or 5 turns. The starter does work. I changed the ignition control module and it ran really funny for a couple minutes and drove around the block and then died. From the ignition control module it fires 1 spark every 4 or 5 turns and thats it. I figured somthing was frying out the module but I just dont know anymore. HELP!!!
