1987 nissan hardbody z24 motor swap into a 1995 nissan hard

i have a 1987 nissan with the 2.4 z24. and im puttin it into a 1995 hardbody. the 87 motor has the dual spark plugs. which has two ignition coils. the 95 only has one ignition coil. how can i make this work?

I've always wondered the same thing. The delay between the two plugs was actually run off of the ECU thing under the seat of the truck as well as vac line mess. The engine will fit. It will work. But there is seemingly no way of making the plugs work unless you use the ECU from the 87. What I would do... just use the intake side plugs. Fill the holes on the exhaust side, and then just run the intake plugs only, because the intake side fire normally, and the exhaust ones were for emissions only. They serve no performance nor fuel economy purpose.

Sure they offer some fuel economy! Burns every last drop of fuel in that cylinder. That's exactly why its incorporated in the first place.. Its just too much extra needed for the engine, so they got rid of it. Twice as many spark plugs, 1 extra coil, 4 extra wires, double sized dizzy cap, etc. Not enough savings to be worth it in a new engine, but definitely does make some change.
