I am new to the Nissan classic car family. I have recently acquired a 1987 Nissan 300 ZX. I would like any and all info about this car regarding value and resale and whether it's worth keeping or selling.

Z cars as a whole aren't terribly collectible at this point, early series 1 240z's are starting to bring bring $25k in pristine original condition. Z31's are a long way from being sought after although they do seem to have bottomed and rebounded a bit. the 88 SS (aka SE or Shiro) and 84 AE are the most desirable and valuable of the Z31's and pristine original examples can bring $5-10k. Beyond those special models the 87.5-89 turbo is still desirable and will bring more money than any of the earlier cars, 2+2 and n/a cars have little to no value.

.
Thank you very much for the info you provided. The car has 200k miles on it and 100k on the rebuilt motor. For a 28 year old car it's in great shape. It's Normally aspirated and is the 2 seater. Any suggestions on a starting price? Where to advertise? Again, thanks as I'm new to this vehicle. It was a gift. Thanks again.

Search for similar cars for sale in your area. From what I've seen clean driver quality n/a's seem to be advertised in the 2-3k range but they don't seem to be selling so be prepared to list lower than the competition and still take a hot on the asking price.

Sounds like a $2500 car tops.

Depressing, huh?
