Okay guys.. before you murder me for selling my 89 HB and getting a chevy....

My friend has a 1986 HB with transistor woes. He can only drive 1-2 hours before it overheats and shuts the truck down for 3-4 hours would a very rusty bracket cause this? if so.. where can I buy a new one?

Why not remove it sand it clean it so where it mounts gets a good ground.

Taking a look under buddies hood in the morning to see what we can do with it but he said it is rusted out

Opened the hood to take a look at the brackets... and they had rusted away so... think I should make new ones or buy them?
