First thing I would do is pick up a copy of Mini Truckin' magazine and read it cover to cover looking for companies that have products for said truck. I would probably pull the engine and build a turbo KA if money allowed. If not turbo, you can still get decent power out of it.

Or you could just drop a small block in it.

What are your goals for it?

well if its the carbed z24 2.4l then here is what you do to keep the same engine.

#1 crazy setup- Bore it out (not sure how much) throw forged ka24e pistons in there. Get some webber or minuki sidedraft carbs. Then header, no cat and a muffler if you want to save some ears. Then run some nitrous and you will be running 13s. head work, cam, msd ignition with 2 blaster coils a good set of plug wires and electric fans. this will take you even farther.

#2 setup (not so crazy)- Im starting with dough thorly header and relocating the o2 sensor after the collectors, no cat to a gibson muffler, electric fans, then remove all emissions and putting a 32/36 weber on there (not the 38 because this is my DD), then msd 6a ignition with 2 blaster coils. 240sx seats then someday a HB pickup 4x4 rear with lsd to a 1 peice driveshaft to a ka24e transmission with short shifter.

find a guy named nis720 on cardomain.com and see what hes doing/done

ive got the same truck but im going to be going the opposite/borring way and am in need of better gas milage. its my daily driver. i got it for 500 bucks and its great. its got normal rot, i.e. big holes in floor, no bed left, fender wells, yea haha! but the more rust the lighter it is!

any way is there way to pull better gas milage? is there a rear you can swap in? i could care less about performance in this truck, hell 10 more hp might tear it apart. i havent messed with the timing yet but thatll help some. any other tips?

thanks
