ok so i found a 1986 200sx with a ca18et and was wanderin if it would go in my s13 hatch. if so what would i need. im just gettin in to nissan so im not that educated on them. not to say im mechanically stupid though. any help/advise/experience would help.

I think you're actually dropping horsepower from the KA going to a CA18ET. As TMS said, you probabally COULD do it, but WHY?

well i guess you both anwsered my questions. i just dont know anything about them, and didnt know if it had potential or not. i just thought i could get a good running turbo motor for cheap. but if it aint even the same horse power ill just boost the kade. thanks

135hp at the flywheel with a small oil/water cooled T2.

the KA is a motor that has a lot more potential.

the ET is good for 220bhp with just bolt-on mods and fueling. there's a couple in the UK achieving over 250bhp and one over 300. they are better for torque than the 16v CA too.

I knew a guy who could smack around SRs with his CA18ET but that was a long time ago and he was very good. Go CA18DET or KA24DET unless you like the freaky factor.
