Hello guys and girls,
The oil pressure sensor in the engine of my 1984 Nissan 300zx V6 3000 170 hp (analog dashboard, not digital and the sensor controls the needle and indicator light on the device) leaked and we replaced it with a new FAE 14940 (this model was sold to us by the auto parts company, they found it by the VIN number of the car). With a cold engine, after starting the engine, the needle shows about 1.2 - 1.4 at 1200 rpm. But after the engine warms up and we drive off, the needle drops to 0 and does not show oil pressure. When accelerating and at 2000 - 3000 rpm in motion, the needle shows about 2 and more, but then drops to 0 again. What do you think could be the reason - is this new FAE 14940 sensor the right sensor for my car? The old sensor was 10 cm long, and the new one - only 6 cm.
And where would you advise me to buy an original engine oil pressure sensor, and other parts - front shock absorbers, lower clutch master cylinder, etc. The VIN number of my Nissan is JN1HZ14S9FX062607
Thank you in advance!
Have a nice day and safe driving!
