Need help getting the oil pump back in. I had it on but forgot the gasket so had to start over lol. Now i can't get it to sit flush theres like a 1/2 cm gap. The manual said to put the 1 piston to TDC i did that and it still wont go in all the way....So i figured i would ask if there was a little trick on getting it in, or if anyone has a tip??? any help appreciated

loud bang and black smoke doesn't sound good, you could have thrown a rod and destroyed the engine, could have lost spark and had a backfire through the exhaust, the timing has no reaosn to change, and a turbo will smoke when they fail but no bang

instead of random guessing, how aobut we try to diagnose the problem?

so when you try to start it, you turn the key and....? nothing happens? the engine turns but won't fire up?

are you getting spark? take a spark plug wire off, stick a screwdriver inside is and place it so the shaft of the strewdriver is near a ground, crank and see if spark jumps form the screwdriver to the ground
