1983 280zx problem running, fuel?

i recently put a new heater core in my car and every since it has had problems running. its like it is flooding itself trying to start and when it does start it runs fine until i change gears or stop itslike any time i let off the gas it has a problem getting back its pressure.

ok, did you maybe knock the connector off the CHTS? it's on the head on the passanger side just forward of where the heater hoses go through the firewall, if you unplugged it or even knocked it loose it causes all kinds of fuel to dump in

could have but that would cause it to do it all of the time correct?

only when warm, it's pretty easy to check just takes ten seconds to pull the 2 pin connector off and push it back on securely, remember the cold engine needs the extra fuel, once warmed up it cuts back on fuel, if the CHTS is bad or disconnected it thinks the egnine is cold all the time and it will keep dumping fuel

--careful, that's where the most evil, brittle coolant hose of all lives... And replacing it it only worse than having it leak...

hose is cheap, replace all of them and worry n omore, I had one of the old hard lines rupture at gainseville drag stip years ago, and when I got home I got new hoses
