1983 280ZX 2+2, What's it worth?

A friend has an 83' 280ZX 2+2 she needs to get rid of. It has been sitting for 6-7 years and would probably need the fluids flushed and replaced. It's been under a cover most of the time. Condition is fair. It an automatic and has the usual options for an 83'. The miles are around 100K. I figure it to be worth around $1000 as it sits but wanted a second opinion before I do anything. Watcha think?

Since it doesn't run and has been sitting that long, it's going to need a lot to get it moving right.

I wouldn't offer more than $500.

has it been sitting inside or out? just becasue there is no visable external rust doesn't mean it's nto rusty, put it on a lift and check the pans rails and everyewhere else with a pick, a rusty non running car might nto be worth the hassle

It's been outside under a cover, which may have trapped more moisture. I'll look closely before I jump.
