I just bought a 1982 Datsun 720 that is in pretty good shape save a few things. there was an oil leak when i first ran it. upon inspection of the oil pan i discovered that there was a hole in the oil pan above the seam ( or lip) of the oil pan that was threaded for a bolt but had no bolt. I threw a 3/8 x 1/4 inch bolt in there with some thread sealent which stopped the majority of the leak, but there is still some drippage when i turn it on.i was excited to find this only 720 blog i was wondering if anyone out there might be able to help me with some info thanks

sounds like you are on the right track in fixing your issue with the leak. Post up some pics of your ride and the leaky area so we can see your problem.

Well now that you have all the bolts you might want to drop the pan and reseal it, new gasket and all.

What are your plans for it?
