i have been puting in new GP sorenson injectors in my 1981 zx non-turbo EFI(of corse) got finished today and it will not start, didnt change any thing with the timing, didnt really change any thing but the injectors, i reconected all the electrical lines, vacuum hoses, and fuel lines

was i spose to fill the regulator or something of that nature with gas?

all of the electrical should be good but i havent checked for spark

air should be good

is there something about the GP sorenson injectors, i have already looked at the forums for the reputation of the injectors but didnt research that much on the install (i have the Chilton repair manual for the car) but every thing went smooth untill the final step

also i have no leaks and i have fuel pressure although my (new)fuel pump sounds weak but i have never had a problem with pressure

I'm not familiar with that branks, but assuming you got the correct part for the application then they should be fine, are your injector connectors good? sometimes the connectors get corroded and one unplugged and replugged they won't amke good contact or the brittle injector pigtail wires could have cracked and broken, and no you shoulddn't have to prime the system short of turning the kep, the pump should come on and pressurize the lines, my only real concern is did the car run before hand? if you replaced the injectors I gotta guess you had a good reason?

Can you hear the injectors ticking?

If you haven't heard this before you can take a decently long screwdriver and put it on the injector, then put your ear to the screwdriver. With someone turning the motor over you should be able to hear the injector ticking. Be sure to check them all. If you hear them working then you have a fuel delivery problem, if not you can check the pigtails for connectivity like evil mentioned. If you need new ones you can get a set of 6 on ebay for 10, 15$.

Also you can check to see if you getting an injector pulse if you have an old school needle volt meter. If you are getting a signal you'll see the needle jump just a slight bit on the meter, make sure you have it set on the lowest value. A digi won't work, the numbers will just go ---- or 0's.

Hope this helps, keep us posted.

well then you must be missing something, sometimes you can't see the forrest for the trees, I should know I have loads of embarrasing stories but we'll skip those for now, fixing fuel leaks shouldn't require replacing fuel injectors just the seals at the bottom or the hose at top?

fuel pump coming on? staying on? injector relay clicking? injectors firing? power at the coil? spark coming form the coil? spark coming from the individual plug wires? plugs sparking?

as fro the tem sensor, it's actualy the CHTS and on the n/a I beliee it's located int he bottom of the thermostat housing, on the turbo's it's located at the base of the head between the spark plugs for #5 and #6, ewither way it's a standard bosch 2 pin injector plug and it would cause excess fuel possibly fuel fouling the plugs

and the leaks wernt comming from seals they were actually coming from the injector were the previous dum *** owner twisted the fuel line and not fuel line and injector and it broke some internal seal
