i'm actually thinking into swapping one of these motors into my datsun. it currently has a z20 in it. i was just wondering. does anybody know how easy a KA will swap into my chassis? i know the 510 is basically a direct bolt up. or at least thats what i have been told. any help would be awesome. i can take pictures if it would help.

can't really tell you HOW easy it'll be...but the KA is a direct descendant of the Z series. Likely not too hard...I'm gonna see if I can find any info on someone doing the swap.

if memory serves me...you can also swap a KA24E head onto the Z block.

not all the Z series are the same, some are based on the L engine and others are based on the ca engines, the z20 I would think would be the ca block, it came in the 200sx and pretty common, for a few bucks mroe you could get the modern CA18DET which I believe shares the outer casting of the earlier ca's so it mounts the same way
