1980 280ZX V8 Swap.

I need a list of everything I will need for the swap, also if you could list the V8s that I can use that would be helpful. I am trying to do this with minimum body modifications so if you could help me out, I really would appreciate it.

you can use any V8 you want, just abotu everythign has been done, the sbc is most populat mostly because it's the most common and generally the elast expensive, ultimately whatever you are most comfotable with you will be happier with, me I hate pushrods and love fuel injection, you might prefer carbs and pushrods

I'm trying to go as cheap as possible, it's my first motor swap so I was thinking of working with a TBI 305 Chevy Small Block.

tbi 305!? why bother swapping, find yourself a 350, and go multiport or carb, throttle body injection suck
