1980 200SX what's it worth?

I have an 88 year old aunt who still drives a 1980 Nissan 200SX with 70000 miles on it. I have offered to buy it from her but cannot determine what it is worth. Help?

Depending on options and just how clean it is, it's worth anywhere from $500 to 1500 or so. $500 for a base model, no options, good condition, and the higher reaches of that range for an all-options one in absolutely mint condition.

By the way, this is an S-chassis car (similar to a 89+ 240SX), and this area refers to 1991-up 200SX/Sentras (B-chassis) but I doubt the 240SX guys would be any help either. You may want to head to the "Datsun" or "Other" cars section of NICO .

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. This does help as my aunt has been told 'not to sell it for less than $5000' but with no supporting data. This seems more realistic. Thanks again!
