I've got a 79 280zx on my hands and I am experiancing a crank but no start condtion. The problem stems from removing the antique alarm system that was in it. I guess I can't just let things be.

Testing at the IC unit two wire connector (B side), koeo i saw 12 volts. During cranking I saw it drop down to 7-8 volts. On first crank, if tested hourly, I would hear the sound of combustion and then just the starter cranking it over.

What you may notice from that picture above is a missing condenser. I recently picked one up from the local j/y and want put it back in place. Can I just put it in as is or do I need to give it a charge prior to installation? I was also wondering where do each of the leads go? From the Fsm diagram it looks like one end is inline with the ignition coil and the other goes to the distributor, where it may or may not ground. There isn't much info besides the pullout wiring diagram.

I think with the new condenser in place my problem should be solved. Hopefully
