1979 280zx

i have a 1979 280zx when i go easy on the gas it will rev to redline but if i pin it it will only rev to 3500 and its as if it has a rev limiter if any one has any ideas it would be greatfully appreciated thank you in advance

thats what i think to but i was wondering if anyone else had the prob befor i go spend the money

try finding a used one or find someone with a running car that'll let you try swapping for a few minutes

ya thats what ive been tryin to do because they want quite a bit for a new one

I believe the FSM details how to check the afm with a multimeter if you want to reassure yourself, keep an eye to ebay and junkyards

ya thats what i have been doin i already tested but there sensors in there u cant test cant think about what ones off hand
