I have a 1978 280Z that has only 59000 miles. I am getting ready to do a restore on it. When i take it for a ride it runs great till it gets hot then it starts to sputter to the point that you cant give it any throttle or it will stall. If you let it cool down it runs great. Do i have a coil problem or what could it be any idea's
Thanks Brian

Could be one of a few things, I would suspect the gas pump. Sometimes they fail only when warm, to test add an inline fuel pressure gauge and a length of fuel hose. Run the loop of fuel hose so that the gauge is visible from the drivers seat (I like to place it under the windshield wiper), see what the fuel pressure looks like when the problem starts, it should run about 42 psi at idle and drop a bit as you accelerate.
