im about to buy one tomm, guy says engine wiring is not in place and the car doesn't start since the computer and the wiring are not in place, clean interior is clean, but its yellow eww. price is real good. give me your thoughts...

check it for rust...if it's a lifetime CA car, it probably won't be much of an issue, but the rails should always be checked out.

its $800 haven't seen the car in person yet. and here is the listing. i want to get this car take it to a local datsun shop get it running and drive it and little by little restore it and put in a better engine/ transmission combo, maybe a Ls... and get it colored matt grey or blue not ghey a** yellow.

If it was in my area i would snatch it up in a heartbeat. The yellow is not too bad when the paint is fresh.I had a friend that had one the same color.

Ugh.

Lots of smog crap on a 78. Go ahead and assume the engine is bad as well, unless the seller can prove otherwise.

Check under the battery for rust, as well as inside the hatch and rocker panels. If there's rust, walk away. Not worth it, even for $800.

not a bad price if its rust free.

pretty sure theres wiring kits that are turn key if thats the biggest issue. please dont do a v8 swap.

Body looks good, I'd get it for $800 and buy a welder if you don't already have one. If the frame rails are rotted, you can weld em pretty easily without worrying too much about making them look pretty.
I'd paint it the same color as Bex's (like a silvery blue metallic). I'm partial to that color though, my dad had a 260z that I thought looked stunning in silvery blue metallic.
