is there difference between 76 and 77 280z? what's the between betweem 280z and 280zx?

the biggest difference between the 280z and ZX is the body. They use the same motor in slightly different configs.

I don't think there was any difference between the years on the 280Z, unless the last year was the only year to get a 5 speed and FI....I can't really remember...

there are several diferances but most are minor.

4TH Generation-Z32

1996 was the last year of production of the Z32 in the U.S.

OK we got all the Z cars in one section now!:D

there are notable differences in the 76-77 280z, all the major body panels are the same except the doors, while the skins are the same the frame of the door if different to accomodate the later style latches, the spare tirewell is different, the intake manifolds are different, the cylinder heads are different,and the rear brakes are different

and BTW dane the 74.5 260Z was the first to get fuel injection

ALL US 280ZS HAD FUEL INJECTION77-78 GOT THE 5 SPD MANUALEVERY Z CAR (EXCEPT 350Z) FROM THE 260 UP HAS THE 2+2 OPTIONTHE 76-77 HAVE VERY SUBTLE DIFFERENCES IN APPEARANCE

THE 280ZX HAS MANY MAJOR DIFFERENCES INCLUDING APPEARANCE, BRAKES, POWERTRAIN, INTERIOR, ETC.
