1972 510 vg30 swap pleneum angle

Hi im putting a 1992 vg30 in a 510.I was reading a buildup of one on dimequarterly and the guy said that the pleneum angle needed to be 6 degrees.Do you know why this is and how critical is it.Im using an automatic due to really bad arthritis in my left knee.At 5 degrees i would have to cut out area for drive shaft to fit.I already have huge hole for transmission to fit.4 degrees would be owsome is this possible?I tried to e-mail the guy with the buildup, but address is no good.Any info would be much appreciated.Thanks Tim.
