Do it. I have loved every Jeep i've owned(exluding the Grand Cherokees). That thing has some serious potential and is quite a rare find. They're unbelievably cheap to work on and parts are EVERYWHERE.

Didn't the guy on Chasing Classic Cars pay >$20k for a pristine one of a similar era?

Edit, I think it was this one

Ha. I remember when they were new. That looks like a base model.. My dad looked into buying a new one in 1966 but opted for a new 1966 International Travelall instead as his DD biz vehicle. (bigger, better built, more reliable). His partner had a base Wagoneer of that era briefly. I rode in it several times. It was a more comfortable vehicle than the International, but it was notoriously unreliable and guzzled gas. (Of course gas back then was like 30cents/gallon gas was not that big a deal as it is now.). I also remember his base model had rubber floor mats, and carpeting was optional. If I remember right, the Super Wagoneer had the carpeting and luxury touches standard. And I believe AM radios were also standard on Wagoneers of that era. Had to pay extra for the AM/FM.

I can certainly see the coolness factor of having one now, but I'd suggest staying away from it.

Let's be honest, Jesda doesn't need any more coolness factor.

Unless he's looking at a Miata or something.

Looks great, I'd buy if I was into that sort of thing. Still a cool original none-the-less!!
