Hey all,

I made a trip to Nogalas Mexico yesterday and on the way back I hit 190K. My gas milage when I filled up on the way back in Tuscon was 21.2 mpg and that was at 85+ most of the way.

I just passed you, brother. I average between 19 and 21 MPG @ 76 to 82 MPH, depending on whether I let the wifey drive her - she has a lead foot.

I shuld be well over 200K, by Independence day.

I need to do something nice for the lady, at 200K.

Maybe an Optima Battery. I ran the battery dead, replacing the struts. Now I am not so confident in it.

I might install the new fuel pump and filter, as well. I bought the pump from Joe, but haven't made the time, to put it on. The hum is barely noticible, but I have put nearly 90,000 miles on her, with only 4 fuel filter changes, and the original pump (unless the previous onwers replaced it - which I seriously doubt).

cweber,

same as yours, '93 j30t. I believe the transmission is the original, the service records I received did not mention transmission work. I bought it at 200k mi last year from the 2nd owner. The miles come from business trips, the many rock chips on the front end seem to support his claim.

Although it is a nice car in its own right, and I plan on maintaining it, I consider it my beater. The main reason I got it is b/c it is a fairly nice car stock, and there is no aftermarket to tempt me. =)Saving up for a project car.

No kidding! I currently have 86k and bought it from an older woman that garage kept it and kept it maintained. It's in great shape, but I drive pretty hard. I'll be lucky if I get 150k on the stock.

Makes me feel like I may just have a nice car that'll last me for a few years :) Thanks for the post.
