I believe I have found the wheels I want. I dont know what size and offset I should get though. Its between 19s or 20s. From what I have read, I dont want a staggered combo. What size do you guys recommend to fit in the wheel gap and wont cause rubbing?

Also, what tire profile size do you recommend for daily driving(comfort).?

First off, I personally wouldn't go with a tire that is larger in overall diameter than the factory ones. If you want to get rid of wheel gap, I suggest getting suspension.

As for 19s or 20s, it all depends on the style of rims. I couldn't make a suggestion without seeing it.

Please realize that your city fuel economy will be negatively impacted by going with larger rims. Your highway may or may not change.

I have the sports tuned suspension 19s with fairly agressive tires and the ride is harsh.

Thanks for the reply.

I am no stranger to large wheels, low pros and suspension on a car. I understand what happens to the ride. I am currently wearing the oem sport 18's. I am not sure if getting another set of 18's is worth it. I think they look too small for this car.

I've seen suspension and the "right" 18s looking great. The problem is the wheel gap has to be gotten rid of. It's easy to drop the car to get rid of the gap, then get 18s with a nice lip that look "large" to fill in.

I've seen 20s on coupes that still looked small because of the stock ride height.

this is going to be my first car where I dont modify the suspension. I am keeping it stock. I am probably keeping the engine stock too. this is a first for me...

Booooooo! Hahaha. I was hoping to see an X supercharged. I guess that won't be you lol.

Well, to answer your question then. 17s or 18s for comfort. 19s get expensive and a little harsh. 20s...eh. I guess that depends on what the stock X suspension is like. I have the sports tuned and that combined with the 19s aren't so wonderul (for comfort).

Boooo from here too. But seriously you can fit the 22 under the 07+ sedan. I personally wuld not go bigger then 19. As Senti suggested it drop it a little. I think it was Team punisher who had 22. Can't recall it tho.

Ok, so guys have been getting the 18s in my head now. so its between 18s and 19s now. I have the stock suspension, the sport awd sedan does not have the sport suspension.

like i said, there is no chance I will lower the car.

well, if you aren't going to lower the car we are all not going to like the look of rims as much on your car....

however, I'd recommend 19's still

19's are good. Lot to chose from and better price then 18's or 20's.

i have 19's its more practical. you feel the road with anything over 19" on our cars. now 20's are a easier find tires are cheaper and you call any shop say i want 20's ok heres 5456786453435 to choose from. now 19's are less practical, so they style that your looking for may not be available thats what i went through. but now i like.

If you want to "go bigger" and don't want to lower the car, what about a 19" with a slightly taller than stock tire?

If you could find 4 Fronts or 4 Rears, the G35 Coupe 19's would like nice, be light and maintain some of the OEM look. You could the staggered wheels with non-staggered tires if you can't find a set of Fronts or Rears.

I occasionally see a pair of Fronts or Rears for sale ... there's a pair of rears in the Wheels Classifieds suction now, but I think there's better deals out there.

I have a full set (fronts & rears) if you're interested.

I amvery interested in your set. can you give me details on your set? condition? come with tires? tpms? price?

I think I am going to do all fronts (19x8). I am hoping to do those with 225/45/19 tires. Thoughts?

I'm not sure if 225/45's are tall enough for all 4 corners on a G35 Sedan??

I have 4 wheels & 4 tires with TPMS2 - fronts 19x8.0 Bridgestone 225/45/19's2 - rears 19x8.5 Bridgestone 245/40/19's

Tire pics(sorry, can only find a few, not sure if fronts or rears)

Wheel 1

Wheel 1 scuff

Wheel 2

Wheels 2 Worst curb damage

Wheel 2 scuff

Wheel 3

Wheel 3 scuff

Wheel 4

Wheel 4 scuff

I was asking $850 + shipping for the wheels with sensors, and $1200 + shipping for the wheels, tires & sensors ... but you'd want/need 4 tires of the same size.

Let me know if you need any more information.

according to the tire calcuator 225/50/18 and 225/45/19 are identical.

I think i am going to try and locate some chrome ones. I am also thinking about trying out the new Nitto Invo tire.

My bad, I "read" 225/35/19 ... 225/45/19 shouldn't be an issue.

You may want to go wider, unless you stick with 8" wide wheels all around.

There's plenty of chrome 19's out there, but I'd be cautious with any chrome 19's like what I have, as I don't think Infiniti ever offered them. Some dealers may have had them chromed, but more then likely they'd be replica's.

Good luck

Thank you. For some reason i thought those rays came in chrome, maybe not. I am going to go with a 225/45/19 tire on all 19x8 wheels. I may take the non-chrome version if i can find for a good deal.

If you're going to go with 19x8 all around, keep your eye out for Maxima & Altima owners selling wheels. That's going to be the best place to find a set of all one size with the offsets you're looking for.

As an "X" owner, your wheel "wants" are different than non-X owners.

The G35 wheels will sit closer to the fender, but shouldn't create any rubbing issues, maybe if you're lowered.

If you look around, you should be able to find some pictures of guys with aftermarket wheels, and hopefully they've listed the wheels sizes and offsets.

You can play with some wheel offset calculators to get an idea, but I'd ball park the wheel/tire would be ~15 mm (little more than 1/2") closer to the fender than your current set up.

Hope that helps.
