By the way what do you suggest... What would be a better option. I mean I want good reliable work done on my car .. Dealers are always expensive as a rule of thumb but I know sometimes they are worth it too..
I just don't wana get ripped off.. lol.. do you think the dealership is a good place to start or should I avoid it and keep it as a last resort?
Matti and the oriental guy(name escapes me) are at Infiniti Yorkville. If you go there after 3 to get a quote the techs are very chatty (I guess it comes from a long day of working on cars with no human interaction) and will likely show you around the engine bay.
Here is the direction to Rainbow Garage (I'm assuming your taking the 401 east bound).
-Take the 401 eastbound to Port Union Road and exit.-Stay in your rightmost lane and make a right turn onto Old Kingston Road.-The first lights you hit is the beginning of Elsemere Rd. Stay on Old Kingston Rd.-Rainbow Garage is just passed the first lights. Right side just passed 401 auto collision in the next industrial park.-You will want to speak to Reda or one of his brothers. Very nice guy, but very, very busy. In most cases he can't take you the same day, he has 4 service bays and they are constantly busy. Its best to get an appointment.
I can't say anything bad about Infiniti Yorkville, I bought my J there and they have always treated me very well. Back when the car was just out of warranty they would charge things as if under warranty). If I'm working downtown, I still drop of my car there if I'm working in the downtown car. They have a few techs there who know the J30 inside out and if you profess an interest in auto mechanics they are glad to show you around. Both of the service advisors there are former techs and have worked on my J in the past.
Reda at Rainbow Garage isn't a Nissan service tech, however him and his brothers and employees are damn good mechanics with many, many years of experience (and honest to boot-that's why there garage is always busy). I believe Reda use to work for Mercedes and his brothers and employees are former long time dealer techs for Nissan, Honda, Jaguar and BMW, so there is a lot of inhouse mechanical knowledge.
