Hi all,

I am looking to get some MRR GT5 rims and tires for my G37 - any recommendations on the 19" vs 20"?

Thanks...

Welcome aboard.

The difference between wheel sizes effects price of tires more than anything. 20" tires are cheaper than 19" tires.

hi,

I was really wondering which looked better overall - It seems 20" with a small drop was the general thought.

I am surprised that 20" are cheaper than 19" - was that a typo?

Nope. There are all of 5 manufacturers that make 19" that are the factory size. The cheapest is kumho, at around $150-$200/each, then it goes up to around $350/each.

I guess that 20" rims are more popular than 19 and are therefore cheaper.

20s with small drop should look great. Realize that your MPG and acceleration will probably go down.

The only way I'd get 20s is if they were lightweight forged, even then I'd be sacraficing performance.

yea - I am too old to worry much about performance, but I am all still about the looks. I just didn't want to get 19's and have them look too small...
