Hi All,
My first post and I have searched the forums.....
I would like to know if the above combo will be a straight bolt on fit to a Fuga 450GT 2008.

Presently I have an odd setup with factory 18" rims and 245/55 tyres...needless to say it feels a bit 'floaty'.

I am resigned to buying 4 new tires, and want to improve the look and handling at the same time. It seems that 275/35 will give very close to the same rolling circumference as the standard tyres on either 18" or 19" rims.

Has anyone done this swap?

I have read through the tire fitment threads, but they seem to be focused on more extreme setups......

Cheers from New Zealand.

Hello. 275 *might* be too wide for the front when you turn. For the back, it's probably okay. I'm not a tire fitment expert though...have you tried one of the online calculators to see how much the height or width would change and done measurements to see if it will fit in the wheel well when turning, etc.?

Welcome to the forum. I am currently on 255/40/19s with stock suspension on a 2009 M. That size allows for a wider tire while maintaining the factory ride height and center of gravity for stability and safety. The grip and handling are definitely improved and the ride is still smooth without being floaty. Below is the chart found in the FAQ section of the forum. The chart will compare stock settings to any custom wheels and tire size - it also will provide differences between actual speed and indicated speed.
In the states, the OEM set up was 18x8 with 40 offset I believe and tires were 245/45/18.

Thanks to Ilya and Larz for the helpful replies...

Things moved on since I posted this yesterday. I found a Megan Racing Axleback exhaust with reasonable shipping via Fedex to NZ on Amazon. The seller - Tunerbits has mixed reviews but hopefully it will work out...

At that point I was just going to replace the standard rubber on the existing 18" wheels, but came across a set of genuine Nissan 19x8.5 for NZ$250 . The rims need some work, but I think it will work out a good deal.

So all I need now is some tyres to suit.

@Larz: Did you put the 255/40s on the standard 19x8.5" rims - I see that the stock tyre is 245/40?

Thanks again for the help!

I gave my stock 18" wheels away and bought 19 X 8.5 Infiniti wheels from a Q50 owner who was upgrading to non-Infiniti 20" wheels . They had about 200 miles on them at the time.
