Are you serious? There's really not such a thing as long as they fit. I think Options Auto Salon and some Japanese wheel manufacturers RECOMMEND a 9" wheel in the back.

I've got 17" x 8" all around and I've got room to spare....running 245/40/17's and that's the narrowest I would ever go in the rear...looks too damn mean to ever go back...not to mention I would never get traction with anything less.

The brand of tire you run and the model will determine what width you should use... http://www.tirerack.com has some good information on their tires...they tell what the recommended wheel width is for each tire and size and ALSO give you a safe range which is usually 1 to 2 inches. I believe it's the measuring wheel width that is the recommended width. My best guess is a 275, although a 255 would probably fit nicely as well.

As far as wheels go, it's all about offset. I've had two sets of 8" wheels on my car...one didn't even come close to clearing the Brembos and had to have huge spacers. This looked like s***, so I put a set of stock Cobra wheels with an almost perfect offset and got down to a 5mm spacer and they look great.

Also, use the search button and find a thread called something like..."widest wheel possible on S14."

Lot of good information in that thread and opinions as well.

Thanks for the reply you guys. The reason Im asking is because i have a real good deal on a set of Saleen Mustang 18x9 wheels. They are +24 offset. I've seen titanium V-spec s14.5 with Advan 18x9 rims and they running on 265/45. From the pix, the tires look kinda thin and I want to have a little meat in the rear. So what size will fit this nice with a little meat? Also, I'm doing s15 conversion and I think the s15 fender is more flare than the s14. So what do you guys think of 18x9 all around.

JUN makes fender flares for the S14 I believe and probably the S13....and somebody else has to as well. That'll take care of any problems with the tires sticking out and make the car look even meaner in my opinion.

I think that 18" x 9" in the back would fit no problem, but I would try to find somebody with those Mustang rims and try them on first just to be safe.

18" x 9" might be a little much in the front to be honest...

I might be a little biased (since I have them on mine), but I love the SN95 (94-98) Mustang Cobra rims on a 240...
