Hello everyone, been lurking for years and finally decided to join the site.
Have a '93 300zx convertible which I am looking to get some staggered wheels and go deep dish for the rear. Wanted the feedback and advice from all the experts here on whether I can fit a 18x9.5 with 15 offset in the rear? I read through the wheel guide sticky and I am not sure. Also, should I stick with a 265 tire or can I safely toss 275 with that aggressive offset and not have issues with rubbing on fender? I am currently on stock suspension and brakes. Looking at running 18x8.5 with 25 offset for front and appears like that should be no problem.
Appreciate the feedback! Years ago I had new 2003 and 2006 350z and was running some aggressive staggered setups but just not familiar with what I can do with the 300zx convertible.

Thanks,
Dino

Not a lot of room to wiggle beyond the sizes given in the chart, so hard to comment because it all depends on offset measurements and your cars' dimensions...so basically going beyond the recommended sizes means you need to know it would fit, or be ready to massage fenders or suspension or both.

There is also a 25mm offset available which I am assuming is a safer bet to not run into stock fenders. Just not sure if they would rub inside without any mods. My thought process on the 15 offset was that it would push the 9.5 out far enough to clear inner section but not sure if it would stick too far out with tires. I would like a flush look and not poking out.
Really love the deep dish look for rear, just unfortunately not many options. Still feeling out my options and I guess worse case scenario if I can't land a nice deep wheels is to go with the staggered concaved spokes since more wheels available with that setup.
Also, prefer to stay with lighter wheels (15-20 lbs) which I have found a few thus far (rears at 9-9.5 width @20-21 lbs).

You can go with the 25mm offset and then if you wnt to push it out a bit use a good quality spacer. Some people abhore spacers, some swear by them. Do your own reasearch into them and see if thats an option for yo to get the loook you want with out hitting fenders.

If its close to fitting, you can also get a fender roller from someone (I happen to have one that I rent out occasionally) and massage your fenders a little for clearance.

So if I go with a 25mm offset on 18x9.5 wheel, will that fit with no problems in the rear on a stock convertible?
Thank you.

Maybe I sould re word that.... I have no clue what will or wont fit. I was just commenting since I thought YOU knew the 25mm would fit safer, that if you went like that and it wasnt out enough for you you could use spacers to push them out a bit more. If you go to far out with the rims you cant really do anything other than massage the fenders to get them to fit.

No worries. It seems that 25mm should be okay and fairly flush. Worse case scenario I do Enkei RPF1 and do 18x10 in the rear with guaranteed fit for our cars (38mm offset and 275 tire). Been frustrating though trying to find a good deep dish wheel that will fit proper. But end of the day if things don't work out with finding deep dish wheel, can never go wrong with RPF1.

Agreed with deeper dish wheels, just not the style anymore despite the fact it seems everyone wants some...???

So I officially gave up on the deep dish wheels. There were some manufacturers which had a 3" lip but spokes/center not flush so kills the lip width.
Good news though, decided to go with Volk GTM wheels. 18x9 for front and 18x10 for rear.
