I bought some wheels on ebay, Nice wheels, nice tires. Problem is they are 18 x 8 and they rub on the strut brace for the spring. Not sure what to do next I added a 5mm spacer but it only helped a little bit. Has anyone ran into this situation as you can see they are stock struts I'm thinking about replacing them hoping I can find a strut with a smaller brace. Any suggestions ???

all you can do, as some of us mentioned in your other thread is to get longer studs + bigger spacer.

There is no smaller strut that I am aware of. Coilovers will make your problem worse - note where the spring perch is - a coilover spring will be lower and touch the tire & rim on the inner sidewall.

What I would recommend is to sell those wheels & get something that fits correctly .
