Will this combo work without wheel shims, and if not how much shim? Also how much can you lower and use stock suspension parts to get proper alignment? This car will be a daily driver only. Just for appearance. Thanks!

It'll look tall and goofy, with sunken rims...

18's on an S13 are a tough fitment, and that's a Honda-style offset...

It can be done, but you might not be happy with the look (and the ride).

Lowering with a standard lowering spring set (Tein S-Tech) is fine w/o an alignment. Probably needs an alignment anyway, these cars are old.

Welcome aboard!

OK, well I kinda like his idea, how would 18x8s with +15 offsets, 40 profile tires, and minor lowering fit? Would they rub? I think they would look nice.

18x8 with a +32 offset. no spacers, gonna throw on a 5mm soon.

yes they will rub if you are lowered at all. gonna need a slight pull and roll.

ehhhhh, 9s or 10s are overrated for street wheels. with all 8s, you can rotate tires freely. but on a track day, youre right. gotta have some meats.

That definitely don't look tall and goofy to me. What size tires are those SR? And I know I'm going to need an alignment anyway but with different drops on different springs - How much drop can I go without cam plates ( I guess) in the front and the expense of RUCA' s in the back. Sorry for the ignorance on the subject but I'm just an old Pro Street Chevy II guy trying to learn something about 240's. Love these cars.Deuce

Ive got 17x8.5 +25's, so a 10mm spacer would get 'em sitting just like my wheels, except with an inch more wheel.

Im not a fan of 18's though, especially with stock suspension.

they are 225-35-18. you can usually go a inch to an inch and a half without camber/caster adjustment.

Finally got the tires and wheels. Not the most expensive, but a fair look. If I can just get rid of the gap now. Be workin on it. If I can go an inch and a half without ruca replacement or front camber kit then that's what I'm lookin at. Sorry SR couldn't get the girl to sit on the red car. Thanks for all your guys' help Deuce[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Those look -really- good on your car. If only you could drop it a few inches more, it would look pure sex.

Are those the Volk GT-V replica Sportmax's?

I know they are the Sport Max 502's, but yeah I think you're right. And I know you're right about the drop. Coming soon! And Thanks!
