This guy claims to have gotten 180whp on a dyno with these mods:k&n filterstillen ecuheadercat back exhaustlightweight flywheel

Here the thread...http://www.240sxforums.com/for...57461

Is this BS?? I dont know anything about Stillen's ECU, but I cant believe its good for 40+whp. Most KA-DE's make ~135whp with intake, header, and exhaust.

I was looking at Exar-Kun's mods. He has much more done to his motor, and he used to have a link in his sig to his 165whp dyno.

Does this guy have a freak of a KA, or is his dyno a little too friendly??

That's probably BS.

And the Stillen ECU is a JWT ECU, re-sold by Stillen...like many Stillen products. Good stuff re-sold by them, but made by other companies you'd know.

And most KA-DE's dyno ~125 on the lwo end, but ~130 on average.

I/H/E will get you ~145rwhp EASILY.

Add an ECU, and you'll easily hit ~150rwhp on an S13 (or an S14 with S13 cams).

See here for dynos...couple stock ones, then some from SCC:

...

But that's probably a generous dyno in his case...although I won't log in to see it.

The KA24DE engine makes 155H.P to the crank stock and proably 130-135WHP. The KA24E makes 140H.P. to the crank, and probably around 130WHP. So apparently you don't know much about the KA engines. A KA24DE engine with intake, exhaust, and header would probably make around 155WHP at least, and a lot more to the engine. I can believe that with those mods you could esily get 180WHP.

No dyno chart was posted. He just made the claim and everyone agreed with him. And I thought 180whp sounded a little high...
