I wanted to take a drive up through the Blue Ridge Parkway while the leaves were falling, it was pretty magnificent. Also, I figured the parkway hasn't seen too many 180's so I got some pics to capture the moment.

Up in the clouds at this point, we were heading to the summit of Mount Mitchell... Highest point on this side of the Mississipi.

Made my girlfriend pose with the car at the summit. No room for skirts up here!

This was my favorite shot of the day, love the sleek lines of an s13...

Are any of you parkway fans?

When I lived in the Shenendoa Valley, I would drive up the parkway all the time. My signature pic was taken in Franklin County the day I got her put back together after paint. Fun fact, the passenger door in that picture wasn't painted as I was rushing to get a picture put in for a calendar submission. I had new doors painted, and only put the driver's on so I could snap the picture.

I was on MT. Mitchell last year. I hiked up a good 1/3 of it. Was disappointed by the fact that most of the peak was a parking lot so I went over to Mt Craig which has no development. That particular area is my favorite part of the parkway.

Thanks everyone, no surprise to see other fans of the parkway... I will have to check out Mt. Craig. I was also pretty disappointed with the parking area, it was ok though because it was completely covered in fog and snow on the way up to it. I took a detour to bypass some frozen tunnels, hwy 80 I believe? It was a pretty fun ride, a banked s-curve towards the middle... I'm always looking for fun roads if anyone has suggestions!

That's not an actual, real Japanese market 180sx, is it?

Yes, it's a Japanese market 180sx. Real deal. Here is my interior, no sliding seat belts, factory 180sx seats, digital climate control, etc

Grey market I'm guessing? I don't know a whole lot about how hard it is to have one of those legally.

It is legal, got it from a guy who brought it over via military in 2005 or 06. I got it in 08 and restored it in 09. It had to be titled as simply "s13" but it was really easy because it has a u.s counterpart. My boss has a legal S15, that was much more of a chore but very doable. Just don't buy a skyline hah

Yeah, "legal" S15...
Well, however it is, it's nice. I would sure hate the rhd part everyday.

It's actually 100% legal, even says Silvia by the model on u.s. title. Thanks for taking the time to be a hater. When people do things the right way, you should show a little respect...

I had a 200sx s13 when we were stationed in England. Brought it over and sold it. Biggest mistake of my life.

Whoa buddy. It wasn't meant that way, I just won't believe it's really legal because we never had anything like it in the states. Sorry it had to be that way?
I do like the car, just relax a little, ok?

I'm a huge fan of the CA engine in the euro 200sx, was it one of those?

Is that a factory two tone? Thought Nissan gave the heave-ho to two tone after '90 when they started dropping SRs in the cars. Of all the S13s I've wrenched on over the years, I've never been up close and personal with a factory two toned car. I had my paint and body guy carry my two tone all the way into the jamb and sill. It looked better than having it end near the edges because you could still see white in through the spacing of the door.

And to piggy back off what Dave is mentioning about legal S15s. You can get them titled at the state level (some states you have to get creative), but if ICE comes knocking, the state title papers won't hold up with the EPA, USDOT, and NHTSB.

Sorry I lost my cool man, having this car causes me to get that question very often and sometimes I feel as if people just don't want others to have nice things. That being said, my bad. It was an original SR car, built after '90. Which brings me to my next topic.

The two-tone did get the heave-ho after '90 indeed, fellow s-chassis wrencher. I have had the pleasure of working on one and only one in the 8 years of full time s-chassis service. It was the cream and gunmetal. Very ugly imo, but cool nonetheless. As far as a two-tone kouki s-13, I haven't seen another. This was my personal creation with the paint, obviously inspired by the panda creations I had seen. I use Kei Office coilovers and engine management, and wanted to pay homage to the kei office "look" by keeping it clean.
