I got a super nice clean carpet from my 180sx clip. I have an s13 coupe, but my carpet is garbage and also doesn't fit right anymore (I did manual seatbelts so there are empty bulges on the floor where the retracting units used to be).

My question is can it be done?

I will try in a week or so, but I am just trying to get some heads up on any problems (besides the obvious holes from the dead pedal and the fuel pedal stop, on the passenger side)

Also, should I post in the general chat forum? I know this one does not get alot of traffic.

the kick panels and center console make the passenger side smaller than the driver side spacer wise i believe. so on your passenger side, you would have the carpet be too large (and it would have the heel pad as well), and on the driver side, the carpet would be too small.

Well it was an aftermarket carpet (there is no heel pad) and I have the plastic runner things that go under the carpet from the clip. Hmm. The RHD kick panels look like they mount in the same spot as the LHD ones (except the fuse door is on the opposite side). The RHD center consol looks like it mounts in the same place as the LHD one except that the hole for the E-brake mount is on the opposite side. I'll have to take pictures tommorow afternoon. Maybe that will help with my question.

Ok here is a pic of the carpet as a whole

And here is where the center consol mounts. It is just a mirror image of what the USDM one looks like

I think it will fit (Ill try sometime this week hopefully), But if someone knows for sure, let me know.

the mounts are the same. frame wise, the interior is symetrical, but the plastic bits are sized different. So on a LHD car, the passenger has less leg space than the driver, so flop that around on a RHD car, and the driver (who is in the LHD's passenger spot) has more room. Now your dimensions don't add up. But maybe the carpet is designed with symetry in mind and will work for both RHD and LHD. it's still worth a shot.

Yeah so Far It is actually working really well. The only thing is the small bulge near the trunk release (which holds the trunk release mechanism and the wire loom for the chassis harness) is on the oppisite side. The trunk release part was easy to remedie, but with the harness on the US Driver side and the bulge on teh passenger side, I have a very small (about 4 inches) on the side where the carpet won't meet the door scuff plate. I have some pieces I had to cut (in the center for the e-brake) so I am wondering if I should try to just sew on a piece so it will fit underneath the door trim. What do you think? I'll post pics later tonite.

Allright I finished it. Allthough not perfect it looks a million times better than before.

Here is a pic of my old carpet before it had huge holes on the driver side (forgot to take a before pic)

Here is the pic of my problem near the trunk release

Here is the US passenger side with all the holes that I needed on the driver side.

Here are the new holes I had to make for the US driver side

Here is the Stitch Job I did (with blue yarn -all I had-) to make up the difference near the Hood Release lever

Here are some other "Finished Product" Pics

Now all I have to do is get the "JDM Gum" out of the carpet on the passenger side. Other than that I think it all looks great! I got lucky that my clip came with the carpet attatched to it!

Sorry about all the images, just wanted to share!
