I've purchased a power fc d-jettro for my 96 180sx an it won't start with it installed , i've since found out that the model i have is for a 96/99 180sx, an mine is a 93/96. Can anyone tell me the difference in the wiring harness of these to models?????, p.s tried contacting apexi an can't get hold of anyone to tell me the difference in the ecu pin outs.

you might have some luck searching for "type-x harness" or something along those lines.

The type x ecu and the regular s14 ecu (E5) have different pinouts

There's the S13 Blacktop SR20DET and the Blacktop Type-X SR20.

J4 ecu I believe is the type-x blacktop, and E5 is the non-typex blacktop.

If your car was working with the J4 ECU then you need to get the Type-X power fc, or repin the harness.

You have to verify though as this is off the top of my head.
