Just thought you guys might want to know.. I just got back from a road trip with 2 of my friends to Panama City, FL for spring break... Had a fantastic time.

Approximately 968 miles one way, about a 18 hour drive after stops.. Car performed flawlessly, no kill stories sorry...

Best part, is I averaged over 24MPG, and saw as high as 24.5MPG, no A/C but cruse was on at about 80 most of the way... The car would literally stay in 5th gear for hundreds of miles at a time, never had to downshift literally unless I came to stand still...

you guys with the automatics are missing out..

Not really missing out by not having a manual transmission.........before purchasing the Q I spent the previous 300,000 miles shifting a 5 speed- 150,000 in the 300zxturbo, then another 150,000 in the G.....was ready for an automatic transmission by then- not sure I would ever go back, as the new 7 and 8 speed autos are superior to most manual transmissions.

I'll be glad when members get old enough to no longer want girls [or guys-animals]. Such are distractions to vehicle ownership or scientific research.

Congrads on the trip. I always wonder how reliable some mods/modders are.

Well technically, I was doing scientific research on my vehicle ownership in an effort to reach the women...

I am about to turn over 155k miles, next time I drive it will.. I bought the car 5 years ago this past october with 110,500 miles. The 5 speed swap has about 10k miles on it...

I would trust this car to go anywhere.. Ironic because the people we went with had a newer pontiac G6 and had to get a jump... I still have some minor details to work out (primarily fixing the console) but by and large only smooth trouble free driving in a car thats a blast to drive...

so without further delay, here are a few pics..

and of course... the 2 guys in the picture are the 2 guys with me (so obviously im taking the picture)

When I die... and only after the rigor has subsided

Looks like your ratios were very favorable on the beach!
