There are a few members here who have 18" wheels. Just watch for potholes or railroad tracks. There isn't much rubber anymore to protect the wheels from being bent especially if you're on lowering springs and it will not ride as smooth as stock. You may have a decrease in take-off and gas mileage depending on how much your wheels weigh and how sticky your tires are. But enjoy the looks and increased handling and braking.

I don't remember exactly. The stock combo is around 30 pounds per corner or so. You should be fine.

I have 18's, although I have only ran them for about a month then put them away for winter....
Running 215/35 and live in New York City --- capital of potholes and rim wars... Hate the feel whenever I go over any bumps or whatnot. (Chromes ride hard too, heavier...)
I have read that you can and I will try 225/45/18's w/o rub.... and that was on a lowered Versa.. Forgot what forum (was a Blue Versa HB if that helps @ all)

There is also alot of room in the fender well with my wheels (makes them look smaller, like 17's) See

Hope this helps a little..

I too have 18s.Same size tire I think. I agree you do have to watch for potholes but as for everyday driving (back an forth to work an such) gets easier cause you learn where the bad spots are. What you really have to worry about is when you take a road trip and run into a bad bridge job lol!
