18 Wheels has a harsher ride ... how much tire pressure do you have ?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I got my EX35 yesterday and was driving it today. The test car at the dealer had 17 wheels. And I could feel that the 18 inch wheel is a little bit harsher .. If I had I choice, I'd stick with 17, but had to get the xenon lights.

What amount of tire pressure do you guys use for 18 inch wheels.

My wife and I also noticed a slightly harsher ride with 18s, but the better handling is well worth the trade off. I can't remember the pressure off the top of my head, but it's the factory recommended pressure for the car with the 18" wheel option.

Couple of pounds over the door sticker (when cold).

Yes, the ride can be a little harsher than the 17s, but I didn't feel that much of a difference from the 18s when I test drove, and I got the 18s.

I came over from a Lexus RX330, so the ride is much more harsh than I was used to, but the Lexus can't corner like the EX can, and that is what I was looking for more than a cushy ride. Now I am used to it and don't mind it. I used to feel it was like a chore getting in and driving the Lexus towards the end of the lease, now I actually look forward to DRIVING again.
