18 to 20 in NYC
I'm looking to get new rims. Question is do I stay at 18 or move to 20. What is important to me is the quality of the ride. So to the ones who have experience in moving from 18s to 20s, how is the differnece in the ride? Any rougher or noisier, and how much? Also consider I'm in NYC, rough roads. Thanks.

If you're considering the upgrade.... Do it right the first time! Go 20" with 255/35/20" tires! Dont get knockoff, off brand tires like fulmer, ling long, wanli, dcenti, and a whole s*** load out there that shops try to sell you in the "package" deals!! Go with Pirrelli, Nitto, toyo or higher like michelin etc... The 35 series tire along with good brand will help with road noise, wheel protection for potholes, ride comfort etc...

18's are too small for such a big body that the M's have.
I live in Jersey City (near the Holland Tunnel) which the roads are just as bad as New York.
I ride on 20's, 245/35 & 285/30 with D2 Racing coilovers (family car).

ok, "upgrade" was the wrong word lol. strictly looking for new wheels all together. whoever had this car before me took great care of the car, but tore the wheels up. i really want the 09 M45 19 inch, but everyone keeps talking me out of getting 19s.
Really, Jersey City and you enjoy 20s? I'm coming from Lexus and barely like the ride on 18s w/ the infiniti compared to the lex. I'm just imagining the 20s being way worse.
