I would avoid mixing tires if possible.
I recently did and really regreted it. I was poor and couldn't afford nice tires (Bridgestone potenza RE050A), so I put on some junk used tires (most nice used tires are fine) and when I hit my brakes to avoid a collision, I crossed 4 FWY lanes and slammed the rear of my I30 into the guard rail.
I have a set of 18s for sale in the classifieds if you're interested. They're almost brand new, but a different size than you're running now (225/50/18)
