I just bought 18" 2003 Q45 rims for my 95 Q45t. I was not sure what size tire I need. At first I thought maybe 245/45/18 or 245/40/18. I am now thinking I may need 245/35/18. Can someone tell me what would be best and if the 245s will rub anywhere? I am also getting ready to add Eibach lowering springs and Tokico Blues.

Thanks for the reply 02q. I have been doing some research since posting this question. I think 245/40/18 on a 90-96 Q, but still not sure.

They will not rub in stock tire size (for 2k3 Q).You will be ok with no rubbing, even if you lower the car, as long as you dont go crazy :eyecrazy.

Keep your drop at 1.25 inch or less, or you will see significant camber issues arise. The Tokico Blues are en excellent match for the Eibachs!

Thanks Fred....it is always nice to have your advice on a subject. I am going with the entry level Eibachs. I dont want to "slam" the car to the ground, just lower center of gravity, etc. I hate to ask to be spoon fed here, but are the 2k3 Q rims 245/45/18?

I havent checked but according to our new member who owns a 2k2 Q (they are identical in that respect to the 2k3's), they are, so I would stay with that.

If you lower the profile (say to a 245/40) you will lower the load rating and weaken tire capacities. This will affect handling.
