18 Murano gas tank door adjustment?

I am having trouble shutting and locking my gas tank door. The door does not want to stay shut. Are there any adjustments or a fix That I could do?

No adjustment, but it's common for the nylon pawl that catches the lid to "stick" in the guide and not pop out all the way. It's usually from dirt and some WD40 will usually free it up. It's also possible the metal flange the pawl catches on has got bent somehow, if that's the case just bend it back. Lastly, it's possible the spring inside the pawl assembly is broken or the cable is seized or stretched, but since the return spring is at the door on the back end of the cable, the lever under the dash will feel floppy if that's the issue. See page DLK-330 for how the system is arranged, the manual is for a '16 but your '18 has the same setup.
