1.8 engine not availible any more for Versa

I see they have stopped using the 1.8 engine in versa is there a problem with Reliability issues??
Mine was replaced @ 26000 miles.
If so maybe its time to sale

No. There isn't a problem with the 1.8 - Nissan is just going with a different direction in getting higher mpg.

The default entry level engine will be 1.6 - In the Tiida (aka Versa) hatchback currently being sold in China, there is a 1.6 direct injected turbo (like the one in the Juke).

^Exactly^ 1.6 is simply more efficient. I know that when they first started talking about the redesigned sedan, I heard rumors about the 1.8 being incorporated later on but I haven't heard anything serious about it. How about the 1.6 turbo in the V? That'd be beastly

For the hatchback probably when they update it for a new gen, the last I heard from my dealership 2013 the hatchback was going to be updated. Not sure of anything since, Its only been a few months since I asked.
