I'm still debating/figuring out what wheels to use on my old Q. Everything's looking like a go-ahead for the big block ford swap (amazingly, as there's usually some big issue I find that makes swaps not feasible). I have some 17x9 and 17x11 corvette zr1 wheels I'd like to use on the Q since it'll need all it can get with 550+hp. I know the bolt pattern isn't correct and the backspacing is too deep, but I've used billet adapters on other cars with good results. Has anyone run an 11" wide wheel on the rear of a Q? I wouldn't be against flaring it a bit if that'll squeeze them in. Tires would be 315/35-17. Maybe this is a very silly question, but I seriously would like to try it and if someone's done it, that would give me a lot of hope.

I think that would take some serious body work. But then again, Ive never done anything of that sort.

Wow! Temendously undertired and at theat camber angle, totally unsafe.

Why do owners spend money to make their cars so unsafe? A litigator's dream!

I measured my ZR1 wheels and they're 12" wide from outside lip to outside. Add another 1" for tire sidewall and it's obvious that 13" of tire won't fit in the Q, even with some fender rolling and massaging with a big *** hammer on the inside. Oh well... just trying to make use of my wheels that I already had.

UHhhh, WTF are you talking about? There is nothing wrong with running -3.5 degrees of camber on the street, other than the increased tire wear that it will create.

That's funny.

One time I saw a guy strip a lug nut and he attempted break it off by driving around with ONE lug nut!!! I was amazed to see that it DIDN"T work!! He took a couple of corners at 10-15 MPH and it held fast.

Please don't try this at home but it was heartening to know that one lug nut could be that strong.

I broke the stud and didnt have an extra "shiny" nut to put on there .....so I had to put the stock one on .

About being unsafe......Ive put about 20k miles on the rear tires , and they still have plenty of tread left. Now the front was a different story...I was messing around with the suspension and didnt bother to get it align , about 3 weeks later my tires were gone , that was with only 2 degrees of camber and the toe and caster way off.

I wonder what some of you would have said when I was running -6camber in front and -5 in the rear
