What you guys think about 17x9 +15 elite wheels in gold with chrome lip?

I'm in a toss up between those or Rota P45R in 17x9.5 +12. But I can get the elite's for half the price of the Rota's from my friend. I've heard that they are heavy, but I'm not building a track car or anything, its my DD.

Yeah go for the elite's. Don't really know what they look like, but i have P45r's and everyone and their mom is getting them nowadays, played out. Plus you said the elite's were half the price, which leaves more money for suspension.

Seen this tread?zer...age=1

Elites were the new hot 240 wheel about a year and a half ago, but now they are discontinued and hard to find. So if you find a set, scoop them up quick or you'll regret it.

P45R's are the new, cheap 'it' wheel... I think both look great and are classic style that can never be played out.

P45's and Elites are pretty much in the same category for me. Why would you even be considering the Rotas if you could get those Elites for 1/2 the price?

Do that. Weight really isn't a big deal. My SSR's are heavy as s***, I don't care.

You can get P45R's for about $700 new. You're getting Elites for ~$350?! Sounds fishy. But if everything is on the up & up, get Elites. Thats a steal.

Here's a question though: Who the hell made these wheels? Phase2 was the only place I knew that sold them. Maybe if we find out who the manufacturer was we might have an eaiser time getting them nowadays...
