That would not be sunk. It would stick out 1.5" farther than stock s13 wheels, but definately would not clear as you mentioned. Not sure why everybody thinks that +40 is automatically sunk. Do you think that a 17x12+40 is gonna be sunk too?Juujai wrote:
17x9 +42 will not clear coilovers at all and sink in pretty disturbing
Anywheel with a 42 Offset on a 240 is either gonna be sunk... or not clear.naed240sx wrote:

maybe if you use 25mm spacers......................naed240sx wrote:Im gonna make a U shaped suspension delete piece so that I will have more clearance, and run a 17x9.5 +40 and be nice and flush

Our tires & cars are made to run w/ negative camber - your handling will be horrible w/ zero camber in the back.
On my x9 +20 w/ 225/40 tires - in the rear, I rolled fenders (no pulling) set to -2 camber, and the top of the rim is "flush" w/ the fender.
Front you should be flush w/ ur current setup.
About coilover rubbing, w/ a 5mm spacer you should clear just fine. The rears are fine as is.
However, I don't think you have to run a spacer to clear zbrakes... coilovers maybe, but not the brakes w/ those rims.
that will fit, but the fronts will be hella sunken in. i suggest you search for "s13 offsets" and start reading. you will find more information than you should need to make a smart choice on wheels.240doubledrive wrote:Hey guys, what about 17x9 +35 in the rear and 17x7 +38 in front with tein springs in my s13? Would that work? Also what size tires for I get?
