17x8 +28 does anyone have this fitment on an s14?

I have an opportunity to buy mb weapons with a +28 offset all around really cheap for my s14. Is anyone running +28 offsets on their car? I'm not sure if it would clear the shocks and I've searched the forum (and google) and the only person running +28 is on an s13. I'm thinking of just up-stepping my wheel size with 235/45/17 tires. Anyone have experience with this offset?

should fit alright. it will be slightly sunk in. you can push it outwards with a small spacers if you wish. but overall, it should fit decently. you'll clear those with shocks. 235/45/17 might be bit too chunky tire. go for 235/40/17 so it will look meaty.
